Biography
Pawel Kuczynski, born in 1976 in Szczecin, is an outstanding and world-renowned illustrator, cartoonist, and satirist, honored with a record number of awards in international competitions — over 170 so far. He is a graduate of the Poznan Academy of Fine Arts and an artist of extraordinary sensitivity specializing in illustrations that ironically and sharply refer to social, economic, and political issues.
His works evoke reflection and provoke considerations about contemporary world problems such as stereotypes, inequalities, prejudices, violence, propaganda, and the direction in which humanity is heading. As an artist commenting on contemporary times, he focuses more on what is happening in the world than on local issues. Kuczynski is the author of many group exhibitions worldwide and works regularly with publishers in Europe, Asia, and America.
